My Self-Isolation Skincare Routine

Is anyone else guilty of hoarding skincare products? I have so many products that I use once or twice without really giving them a chance to work their magic. With all of my extra time at home- and almost everyday being makeup free- I decided to establish a more regimented skincare routine. These are some of my favorites products that I’ve been using daily/weekly and are at a variety of price points.

Biossance: Squalane and Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum

Hello, magic in a bottle! The before and after pictures are what convinced me to buy this product and it has worked wonders on my face. Seriously, go look at their Instagram. It exfoliates overnight and leaves my skin SO smooth and I’ve also noticed a lightening of acne scares. I alternate this overnight with the Squalane + Tea Tree Balancing Oil.

Pixi: Glow Tonic

I’m not patient when it comes to seeing results which is why I committed myself to using these products on a regular basis. However, I can truly see the results immediately with this tonic. It’s a gentle exfoliant that also has aloe to sooth- great for my rather sensitive skin.

Biossance: Squalane + Tea Tree Cleansing Gel

I treated myself to the Biossance Tea Tree Trio set to see which of the products I liked best. My favorite two are this cleansing gel and the balancing oil. Usually, I use a micellar water and tonic to cleanse but figured I should have a deep cleansing gel in my regimen too. My skin feels so clean after using this! Obviously that’s the entire point but seriously, I feel squeaky clean.

The Ordinary: Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

As I’ve gotten older, my skin has gotten drier and drier. I used to have combination skin- hello T-zone! The Ordinary is the holy grail in terms of price and quality. This leaves my skin really moisturized and plump. My one recommendation would be to use it either at night or when you’re not wearing makeup for a while. If I put it on before makeup it makes my foundation clump/flake off.

Biossance: Squalane + Tea Tree Balancing Oil

My favorite product from the Tea Tree Trio! Starting in January, my skin decided that it would break out worse than it has in my life. Was it stress, food, or hormones? I truly have no idea what caused my skin to be moody AF but it left me with some lovely scarring. In a week there was noticeable lightening in the scarring. Tea Tree is known for helping prevent acne and heal scarring which is why I wanted to try the kit!

Laniege: Lip Sleeping Mask

I have some DRY lips They’ve always been that way. If I don’t bring a chapstick with me whenever I leave the house I always end up buying one because my lips are that dry. This mask is meant for overnight use. I use it overnight and in the morning and during the day. It actually leaves my lips moisturized and plump and smells amazing.

Trader Joe’s: Rose Face Oil

Trader Joe’s coming in clutch! I wouldn’t suggest purchasing through this link but TJ’s doesn’t have it online. In stores it’s around $10 and is such a great multi-purpose oil. Use on dry hair, cuticles, and your face! Another great product for dry skin!
